Diana Ross

Motown soul diva who first recorded in the 1960's with vocal group The Supremes. Diana first cashed in on the disco scene in 1976 with the disco classic "Love hangover". After a slow intro, it takes about a minute to break, but when it does you won't believe the thumping disco bassline and soulful vocals.

Diana once more teamed up with previous producers Ashford & Simpson for album "The Boss", which includes the title track and also "Lovin', livin' and givin'" - used in the film "Thank God it's Friday".

For her eponymous 1980 album, Diana met producers Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards (of Chic) and this album included disco classics "Upside down", "Give up" and "I'm coming out".

Shown above is the UK 12" of "Love hangover" - better than either of the US releases because the grooves are deeper so you have better sound quality. Also it's "disco-eye cue grooved" so you can see where the track speeds up.
