14th January 2005

Now a rare and sought after 12" single, "Seven minutes of funk" by the Whole Darn Family was an early commercially released 12" single. The dark and sinister bassline has ensured that the record is still a much-played funky disco track, and has been sampled on numerous occasions.

Superb Larry Levan mix (this one taken from the DJ-only double-pack "Larry Levan's greatest mixes") from 1980 on the Salsoul label. As it's also written by Randy Muller of Brass Construction, you know it's a great record.
