Carol Douglas
The girl who found love in a cafe-bar. New York based vocalist sprang to fame
in the mid 1970's with early disco hit "Doctor's orders". Follow up, "Midnight
love affair" did well in 1976. It's arranged by New York disco specialist
John Davis. Further disco albums
followed; "Burnin'" included "Fell in love for the first time today" and her
version of the Bee Gee's "Night
fever", which reached the UK singles charts.
The record "The Carol Douglas Album specially prepared for disco use" (above)
is a one-sided pre-12" single containing four tracks, and is very rare
(one of the very first promotional disco records).
