Brenda & the Tabulations
Soul diva of the 1960's became disco and rare-groove queen in mid
1970's after working with producer John Davis. The best disco track from her LP
on Chocolate City records (a sub-label of Casablanca) was "(I'm
a) superstar", a typical groovy John Davis disco track. Much loved
on the 1980's rare-groove scene was "Let's go all the way".
"(I'm a) superstar" was only the second 12" on Chocolate City.
(I'm a) superstar/Everybody's fool (Chocolate City 12" CCD-20006, 1977) - one-sided 12"
I keep coming back for more (Chocolate City LP, 1976)
